QPcard 102 has been developed together with experienced users of QPcard 101. QPcard 102 is much bigger, 243 x 170 mm (9.6 x 6.7 "), and in thick and stiff cardboard quality. It has four fields, for better distribution along the gray scale. Furthermore we have skipped the black and replaced it with a dark gray field. Black is difficult to change anyway, so four fields not too close to the end points of the tonal scale makes a much better job. The reason why we choose four fields is that Adobe Photoshop has possibility to correct the balance using four points under "Curves".

All fields are perfectly neutral measuring L*a*b values 35*0*0, 48*0*0, 80*0*0 and 95*0*0. The spectral respons is almost perfectly flat making the card perfect in all light conditions without causing any metameric problems. Needless to say there are no fluorescence whitening agents involved, making the card perfect for Custom White Balance Setting in any light.
