Do you already have an Xrite CC24 or Passport color target? Now you can them as reference cards for generating profiles. QPcard 202 and 203 gives a better characterization of camera color qualities, but the old CC24 and similar Passport reference cards can also be used. QPcalibration with CC24 extension automatically recognize correct reference card and also automatically measures the color patches. Interestingly enough a CC24 or Passport card with QPcalibration generates better profiles than the same card with Xrite Passport application.
QPcalibration is automatically identifying four different cards. CC24 and Passport are the most difficult since they have a black background. Noisy high-ISO pictures might cause problems. Low and moderate ISO and straight (landscape or portrait) pictures works fine.
